What to Bring
Every dog staying with us must wear a collar with an ID tag with his or her name on it. Feel free to bring items you would like your dog to have when in the private suite. For example, anything with familiar smells such as shirts, blankets, or a towel that will help your dog settle in comfortably. Charlotte Dog Resort does its best to return your dog's items in good condition; however, we are not responsible for lost or damaged articles brought from home.
We feed each dog based on his or her individual needs at breakfast, lunch, (when applicable), and dinner. We cannot allow free feeding because it encourages ants and mice. If your dog is boarding with us or will be in daycare with us for any of his or her mealtimes, we recommend that you bring your dog's food to avoid possible digestive issues (e.g., diarrhea, gas, upset stomach, or other issues). Package your furry friend's meals as follows:
- Divide each meal into its own, separate sealable bag.
- Label each bag with your dog's name.
- Label each bag with special feeding instructions (e.g., add water, add wet food, must hand feed, and more).
Food Not Individually Packaged
You will incur a charge of $1.50 per meal for meals that are not individually packaged. Our staff must package up each meal if you do not because unpackaged dog food encourages flies, ants, and mice.
Forgotten Food & Miscalculations
If you forget to bring your dog's food or you don't bring enough for their stay, we will gladly provide our house food for $2 per meal. Please note that changing your dog's food may result in digestive disruptions.
